Our team

Two founders. One standard.

A registered paramedic with 14 years in urgent, emergency and community care sets the clinical standard. An operations director who has run the business side of care sets the standard for everything around it. Between them, nothing at Eviqa is left to chance.

Adam Wiles, founder and Chief Executive of Eviqa

Adam Wiles

Founder and Chief Executive

Adam is a registered paramedic and the founder of Eviqa. Over 14 years in urgent, emergency and community care, much of it in the NHS, he has worked on frontline 999 and 111 services and in urgent community response, caring for frail and acutely unwell people at home to keep them out of hospital.

He co-founded and ran an independent ambulance and medical escort service, including international repatriations, and has been a CQC registered manager for complex and clinical services. As clinical lead for a complex care service, he designed the training and competency frameworks that let carers safely support people with tracheostomies, ventilators, tube feeding and epilepsy at home.

He started Eviqa to give families a clinical team they know, and to help care providers prove the care they give.

Lucy Maddicks, co-founder and Operations Director of Eviqa

Lucy Maddicks

Co-founder and Operations Director

Lucy is a co-founder of Eviqa and runs the business side of the group: operations, administration, finance, recruitment and the way we look after families, partners and customers. She has been part of Eviqa from the first conversation, and has shaped how it works as much as what it does.

Her background is in healthcare administration and customer-facing sales in the home retail sector. The first taught her how care services run day to day: the rotas, records, checks and follow-ups that have to be right for the care to be safe. The second taught her that people remember how they were treated long after they forget what they were told. She brings both to every part of Eviqa.

Lucy owns the parts of a care business that families rarely see but always feel: safe recruitment and onboarding, training records, supplier and partner relationships, invoicing and funding paperwork, and the systems that keep it all organised, so our clinicians can focus on care.

She is also the person most families and care providers meet first. Whoever contacts Eviqa gets a clear, friendly answer and a clear next step, and Lucy makes sure that is still true at the hundredth call, not just the first.
