Eviqa Complex Care

Short-notice and emergency cover for social care teams

Support workers at short notice when a social care team needs someone it can rely on.

Please don't include detailed medical information in a first email. We'll arrange a secure way to share it.

About this service

When a placement is under strain, a family is in crisis or a package breaks down, social care teams need support workers quickly, and they need to trust them. We provide short-notice cover for children's and adults' social care teams, with a paramedic leading safeguarding, risk and escalation from the first shift.

We work in family homes, foster placements, hospitals and registered settings. We do not provide placements or accommodation. Our role is to support the person safely, wherever they are, while the team puts a longer-term plan in place.

We agree the support, risks and hours with you in writing before the first shift, and you get a record of every shift and an update whenever something changes.

What this looks like

  • Support workers for single shifts, days, nights or round the clock
  • Support in family homes, foster placements, hospitals and registered settings
  • A clear risk plan agreed before the first shift
  • A paramedic on call whenever our staff are working
  • Shift records and updates to the allocated worker

Why teams use us

Support you can rely on, led by a clinician, with records you can see.

Clinical leadership

A paramedic leads safeguarding, risk and escalation, and is on call whenever our staff are working.

Records you can rely on

Every shift, incident and concern is recorded digitally, with progress summaries for the people who commission the support.

One provider, children to adults

We support children, young people and adults, from 14 to 25 and beyond, so there is no hand-off at 18.

Safer recruitment

Enhanced DBS with barred list checks on the Update Service, references, and an induction before any shift.
