Eviqa Assist

Unit medics for film and TV.

A paramedic on your set, from prep to wrap. Our unit medics work with your production and health and safety teams, so cast and crew are looked after on the stage, on location and on stunt days.

Who it is for

  • Feature films, high-end TV, commercials and music videos.
  • Studio shoots and location work, in towns, on open land and on the coast.
  • Productions with stunts, special effects, water, height or night work.

What the medic does on set

  • Goes through the shoot's risk assessments with your health and safety lead, and plans for the day's hazards.
  • Sets up a treatment point and knows the route to the nearest emergency department from every location.
  • Looks after cast and crew: injuries, sudden illness, and the everyday knocks of a long shoot day.
  • Is on hand for stunts and special effects, where the stunt coordinator needs them.
  • Records every treatment, and hands over safely to NHS ambulance services if someone needs hospital.

How booking works

  1. Tell us about the shoot

Dates, locations, call times and anything unusual, such as stunts, water or night work.

  2. We confirm the cover

The right level of cover and the clinician, agreed with you in writing.

  3. Your medic joins the call sheet

They arrive ready on day one and work to your production schedule.

What is covered

Emergency response and immediate care

Assessment and treatment of serious injury and sudden illness, and a clear handover to the ambulance service when one is needed.

Minor injury and illness

Treated on set, so cast and crew can carry on working where it is safe to.

Welfare on long days

A check on people working long hours, at night, in the cold or in water, and a quiet word when someone isn't right.

Clear records

A record for every contact, ready for your own reporting and for HSE and RIDDOR where they apply.

Crew options and kit

Cover starts with a paramedic with the unit. Where the work calls for it, we match the clinician to the risk: paramedics, nurses and healthcare assistants, for a single shoot day, a block of days and nights, or the length of the production.

Extra clinicians are available for peaks, such as big crowd days, and at short notice when the schedule changes.

The kit is agreed with you when we scope the cover, based on the shoot's risk assessments, the locations and what the stunt coordinator and your health and safety lead need.
