Staff trained and signed off for the children they support.
Children with complex health needs are supported by school staff, SEND transport escorts and short break workers, not only nurses. We train those staff in the healthcare tasks a child needs and assess their competency, working with the child's healthcare team.
For the people who commission and support children's care.
Local authority commissioners, schools and academies, SEND transport providers and short break services.
Tasks: epilepsy rescue medication, gastrostomy feeding, oral suction, tracheostomy care and suction, asthma, diabetes, and allergy with adrenaline auto-injectors.Every member of staff

With you and the child's healthcare team: which tasks are delegated, and to whom.

Reassessment dates set, with records kept.
A note on delegation
The child's NHS healthcare team, often school nursing or a specialist team, remains responsible for the delegation decision and the care plan. We provide the training and assessment.
Every trainer holds an enhanced DBS with a children's barred list check.
Commissioned by schools, transport and short break providers as a one-off booking.
