Family support and supervised contact
Practical support for families, and supervised contact that is safe, warm and properly recorded.
Please don't include detailed medical information in a first email. We'll arrange a secure way to share it.
About this service
Our family support workers help parents and carers with the things that make family life work: routines, mealtimes, getting children to school, managing behaviour and keeping the home running, working to the plan agreed with the family's social worker.
We also supervise contact between children and their families, in the community or at an agreed venue. Our staff keep contact safe and child-focused, step in when they need to, and write clear, factual records for the social worker after every session.
A paramedic leads safeguarding for every package, and concerns are raised with the allocated social worker straight away.

Common questions
Where does supervised contact take place?
In the community or at a venue agreed with the social worker, such as a park, cafe or family centre. We do not provide a contact centre.
What do your contact records include?
Who attended, what happened, how the child responded, any concerns and any time staff stepped in. Records are factual and sent to the social worker after each session.
Can you support a family at home?
Yes. Our family support workers work in the family home to the plan agreed with the social worker.
